Beware of oxygen cylinder scam and protect yourself from cyber fraud in the time of Covid-19

Regarding the prevention of cheating in the name of the coronavirus :
At present, due to the outbreak of the corona epidemic,  frauds are being committed through social sites/apps in the name of Remdisivir injections, beds in hospitals, or in the same name of oxygen cylinders which are being done in the following ways :
A – By putting a fake name of the hospital / medical etc. On Google and posing as an employee there on the phone, fraud is being done by taking advance payment.
B – The details of the relatives of the patients,  which are being posted by them for seeking help, are misused by calling and cheating them on social media by making advance payment.
C – Fraudsters create fake websites e-Commerce Platform, social media accounts, and E-mails claiming to sell and deliver medical products, victims are asked to pay via bank transfer / UPI.
D – E-mail, links related to the epidemic,  are sent you criminals claiming to be health officials whose purpose is to make the victims visit on webpage and log in with their real email address and password.  The thugs then steal sensitive information and use the credibility of health officials to potentially steal your money.

Preventive measures:

A – Avoid opening suspicious emails and do not click on unverified corona virus-related links transmitted on social messaging apps, email, etc.
B – Take special care while taking to the hospital/ medical or other numbers from Google/ social website. Use customer care number or email id only after visiting the official website. 
C – Avoid using customer care / personal numbers obtained from unverified websites. There can also be fraud in this.
D – Avoid paying any advance online for any item without physical verification.
E – Before donating the money, check the credibility of the charity fund and donate at the official sources only.
